Fate / Stay Night – Heaven's Feel rumour at Anime Expo 2012

Last night, my twitter stream went crazy with quite a few people getting excited about a possibility of Heaven’s Feel arc anime from Fate / Stay Night. Thanks to @Kurotsuki for the news. While I am not sure how true this rumour is but people’s twitter who attended panel Anime Expo 2012 confirmed that there’s a possibility for Heaven’s Feel arc anime from ufotable. Check out what some people said on twitter last night using “Heaven’s Feel” as the search term.

I noticed that @JManga_official is the most re-tweeted one. Has anyone been able to confirm if this is true ? or is it just Ufotable saying that they are open to the idea of making Heaven’s Feel ? I got the impression that there’s no announcement or some sort but it’s some where along the lines of ufotable saying that they love the idea of Heaven’s Feel anime

So Claymore didn't end after all ?

Well, I was super confused. I thought Claymore was supposed to end at Chapter 126 and it was confirmed by news from Anime News Network. Three days ago, chapter 127 came out on scanlation sites and I thought it was a joke. It turned out that Claymore IS NOT OVER yet.

Big thanks to Gene via Irked_like_hell! who confirmed and commented in my previous Claymore post. Here’s what he said.

Claymore has NOT ended + DatabooksGene from TSS forums (the Gene who does Chinese scanlations of Claymore of great quality, even better than MS) and Mangahelpers forums has informed Mangahelpers community that Claymore has not ended..I asked a friend of mind in Japan to contact the editorial Dept this morning, and Shueisha staff said the Claymore IS NOT ENDED and we could still expect the next chapter in the coming NEXT ISSUE!!!!

Later on another reader also called them to further confirm this info, and the editor replied that it was a Mistake and Claymore’s story hasn’t end!!!!

I Checked this on 2ch and found some similar replies from the Japanese reader, it seemed many have contacted the Shueisha and got the same answer.You can thank Gene for this here: Manga helpers

I wonder why it was announced that it was ended. Was it mistake ? it’s quite possible all Claymore fans went raging after the last chapter and Shueisha/Yagi decided to continue with the story. What do you guys think ?

I read through the new chapter 127 and I love how they are talking about saving Clare and I think it makes sense since she’s the main protagonist of this series. Now, with Raki joining the group, they most likely will meet up sooner or later; the perfect ending that everyone is hoping for I guess ^^. What do you think about this new development ? will it be the real final arc ?

And Next Tales of is Tales of Xillia 2

During Tales of Festival which happened yesterday, June 2nd, 2012, Namco Bandai (Bamco) officially announced their next flagship Tales series title and it’s called Tales of Xillia 2. It probably came out as a surprise to a lot of people including myself since I personally didn’t expect them to continue the story and if we consider the history of Tales of series, I can only recall Tales of Destiny as the only one having a sequel.

On the other hand, I kinda understand why they decided to make a sequel. Tales of Xillia is their first PS3 tales series (ported game such as Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Graces do not count ^^:;) so if it’s a success, they want to prolong the success of the series with another sequel. As far as story goes, I haven’t finished the game yet since it’s in Japanese and my progress is really slow since I tried to learn as much Japanese as I can.

Despite the big announcement, Bamco didn’t release an official trailer but thanks to some fans, they managed to grab the live streaming during Tales of Festival.

If you fast forward to 2:10 in the trailer, you should be able to see the new battle system that Bamco introduced and it’s called XDR-LMBS or Cross Double Raid Linear Battle Motion System. That’s a long name for a battle system ^^;.

Tales series is well-known for their real-time battle system and I like how it was done in Tales of Graces where we have a free reign to move around across the entire battle arena. Hopefully, Tales of Xillia 2 will allow us to do the same and it would be great if they add the combo attack feature in the original Tales of Xillia.

In the trailer, it also introduces main characters in this series, Ludgar, his cat, Lulu and Elie who’s said to be the key to the whole story.

Tales of Xillia 2 also introduces event/action selection option and the event/story progress is based on what you choose. I think this is a good addition to Tales Xillia 2 and I have seen that many other RPG games have started to include this feature such as Final Fantasy XIII and the sequel.

Similar to Tales of Xillia, Ayumi Hamasaki will do the honours to sing the opening of Tales of Xillia 2 and ufotable will handle the animation. I am glad that they keep both of them the same as the original series. Even though I haven’t progressed far in Tales of Xillia, I think the opening song and animation are done beautifully in the original. Note that I may be little bit bias since I love ufotable work in Fate / Zero series. With the announcement of Tales of Xillia 2, Bamco also released its official website at tox2.tales-ch.jp but it’s pretty much empty. Probably they will add more content once they release the official released date of Tales of Xillia.

The original Tales of Xillia comes with PS3 bundle and now, Tales of Xillia 2 comes with PS3 dual-shock controller. Hardcore Tales fans will be delighted with this bundle as it’s a perfect compliment for the PS3 bundle from the original Tales of Xillia.

Tales of Xillia 2 will be due for winter 2012 and exact release date will be announced on June 27.
