My apology for the late post coverage for Anime North 2009 as I was tired after I got back from Anime North 2009 on Sunday and it took me sometimes to organize photos and upload them. Another year with another great convention here at Anime North 2009 and this year was somewhat different since my girlfriend came with me on Saturday so I was having a blast more than usual. It was her first anime convention ever and she was shock to see so many people at the convention (who would not ? ^^). Similar to previous year, I went to all three days and my target was only one which is cosplayers. As you may already, I am really picky on which cosplayers I take some pictures of and of course, the cuter they are, the better ^^. Without further ado, here comes my coverage for Anime North 2009.

Hi everyone,
I just got back from Anime North 2009 and I am so dead tired. I was hoping to post event coverage tonight but I don’t have the energy to get up from my bed ^^;;. This year AN, I found a lot more great cosplayers in comparison from previous year so overall I enjoyed every little bits and pieces AN 2009. Expect full coverage sometimes this week ^^.
We had a long weekend here in Canada called Victoria Day where we celebrate Queen Victoria birthday. A long weekend / day off is hard to come by here in Canada so I took a full advantage of my long weekend and spent some time with my family + do some photoshoot. I found out about Sakura tree in High Park from googling around and we decided to pay a visit after several cancellations due to weather (Sigh… stupid rainy weather).
I hope I said it right in the title. If not, please do let me know ^^. Anyways, I got a chain email that caught my interest surprisingly (which is like 1 in every 1723981732189 spam emails). I know I like ice cream but I don’t think I can eat these ice creams as they are just too adorable. Any cat lovers out there will surely enjoy this post ^^. More pictures after the cut.
Quite a few figures on sale at hobby search and some are from GSC and one from Alter. Impulse buying ftw and don’t blame it on me ^^;;
After my previous double date Asa-senpai at harbour front couple weeks ago, Sakura had demanded me to take her out for a date and as a sign of jealousy, she wouldn’t let me to take her pictures until I do so. Not only that, since she is competing with Asa-senpai, she also wanted me to take her for a trip to Niagara Falls. She had never been there apparently ^^;; and t0 my surprise, she didn’t mind tagging along with my family who happened to be going to Niagara Falls as well. When we arrived at Niagara Falls, she told that she would keep her promise and let me take some pictures of her while enjoying the scenery of Niagara Falls . She was very excited since it’s her first time her and told me to hurry up and take some pictures of her. She was demanding, wasn’t she ? but she kept her promise and let me took some pictures of her.
My parent and my sister flew to Canada from Indonesia to visit me so it’s nice to see them again. The last time I saw time was last year when I went back home. They come to visit me at least once a year, although, sometimes, I visit them instead. Since they have been to Toronto, Canada for couple times, we kinda ran out of place to visit ,however, after some discussions ( more like they left it up to me ), we decided to pay a visit to Niagara Falls for the xth time.
Having a car is really convenient and flexible because instead of taking a bus to go there, I just drive down there instead ^^. We left quite early on Saturday morning around 9pm and before entering the highway, we made a stop at McDonalds for breakfast (mmm delicious) and 12-pack of bottle of water.
My recent loot from March and April is Yami from To Love Ru and Holo from Spice Wolf both by Good Smile Company. Yami costs me 5,881 Yen + 3,200 Yen for shipping. On the other hand, I got Holo for 6,785 Yen + 2,400 shipping. For some reasons, the shipping is cheaper and it may have something do with the shipping revision that Hobby Search did. Yep, that’s right, 1 figure per month and I have nothing coming this month, although, I will have 2 figures in August, Fate and Black Rock Shooter where both cost me arms and legs. Ugh so not looking forward to
I am trying really hard to save $$$ to get my own place (still living on someone’s basement currently ^^;; and planning to move out) but impulse buying always gets the best of me every time. Maybe I should bring lunch to work save $$$ even more ^^;;. Hopefully I can control myself during Anime North convention this month.

K-ON! easily raised its popularity since the start of the show and it’s all due to one of the character, Mio Akiyama. She is shy-type who everyone loves and not that I am trying to put down other characters.
