Local anime community in Guelph took an extra effort to bring anime convention to their town. Travelling to Toronto for an anime convention can be a pain and a lot of hassles especially if you don’t have a car . Not to mention cost of accomodation can be pretty steep for those who are tight on budget and especially since majority of con goers are still in highschool. Obviously, you would rather spend all your money on merchandise instead of accommodation, right ? ^^

My backlog figures stack are getting higher, although, it may not be as high as Rin’s. Alter Signum is my first Magical Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS figure and the only one that really captivated my eyes. Another Toronto Otaku Meet-up will be held next week Friday and this time, there will be more people. At the time I am writting this post, there are already 23 confirmed guests compare to 7 people for the first meet ^^;;. Next week event will be held at Thee Asian Kitchen which is located on here.

ACG NA’s Otaku Representative Rin is hosting an Otaku Meet on Feb 20th. The party is a fun chance to meet other otakus or fans of anime, comics and games or people who share the same interest as you. It’s also a great chance to make new friends and learn new stuff of the anime culture and the Japan culture. The meet is to bring together people with similar interest and just have fun and talk about anime, comics, and gaming.
Participants can expect of the following:
– $26 all inclusive all you can eat buffet style food and non-alcoholic drinks
– Optional bowling starts at 10pm $5 per game/ per person + $3 for shoes rental. The bowling price may vary for how many games you want to play. (Pay upon entry)
– Fun chats of anime, comic and gaming.
– Lucky Draws!Limited seats:
– Seating is limited to a maximum 40 people.
– In order to ensure no double booking will occur, this page is the ONLY place you can reserve yourself a seat.
– One MUST provide accurate RSVP to ensure seating.* The number of people will help us decide on future meets and locations. This also helps on us to decide if we will hold another meet in the future.

Card Captor Sakura (CCS) Blu Ray Box Set Clow Card and Sakura Card will be released respectively March 27th and June 26 this year. Having to watch CCS religiously on a local TV 11 years ago and easily becoming one of my all time favorite anime, I found it to be quite tempting to get the Blu-Ray Box set until I found how much they cost.
At amazon.co.jp, Clow Card Blu-Ray Box Set is ￥60,606 (US$670) and Sakura Card Blu-Ray Box Set is ￥36,519(US$404) , on the other hand, play-asia is selling Clow Card and Sakura Card Blu-Ray Box Set for US $857.90 and US $516.90.
T.T I want them so bad but it’s going to cost me about $1100-$1400 for both >.>

I started this new project to build another PC specifically used for storage/data only (Anime episodes, Mp3s, images, web development , etc) back on last October 2008 when one of my HDDs was crapping out ie dying. Since I have no way to recover my data if the HDDs fail, I went for Hardware RAID solution which is something I have never done before. For those who don’t know, aside from being an otaku, I am pretty much a PC Hardware geek.
Found this gorgeous Megurine Luka bento when I was browsing around at gelbooru. I wonder how long it took to prepare this bento. I am not into vocaloid before but since the released of the new vocaloid Megurine Luka, it totally got me into it ^^. No doubt , she is my favorite vocaloid.

A new month can only mean one thing: another chapter release of Claymore manga. Chapter 88 is available at onemanga.com for all Claymore fans. I think in this chapter, we all learn that there is no such thing as the strongest one because there will be others that are stronger. Isley is probably just one level under Priscilla (arguably the strongest Abyssal one) and he still has a hard time fighting those Abyss Feeders who has awesome regenerating ability. If Priscilla meets with these Abyss Feeders, my vote goes to Abyss Feeders.
